About two weeks ago there was an emergency situation at work, a kitten was stuck under a co-worker's dashboard. How did she get there? Well, she first started out in the car engine where she road in for about a 15 - 20 mile drive to work. My co-worker heard her engine meow and knew that something was just not right. She has had past experience with the local cats slipping inside her engine, but this was the first one to actually hitch a ride. The stowaway was safely removed from the engine and placed inside the car. Well, the stowaway being a typical kitty decided to explore and get herself in a fix. I volunteered to rescue her and managed, after much cussing and painful yoga positions, to get her out of the dashboard without having to remove one single bolt. Needless to say, I took her to the vet soon after work and she was pronounced to be a perfect healthy one-pound ball of fuzz. At home it took the landlords, Marley & Joey, two days of hissing and giving me the cold shoulder to warm up to the little one. Now they ADORE her. She has to be cleanest kitty, since Joey and Marley take turns cleaning her. She is head over heals in love with Joey, and he cares for her but not in the same fashion. Marley on the other hand is smitten with his new playmate and is more than eager to show her how to wrestle and pounce on the slave monkey’s head while she sleeps. All this said and done, let me introduce you to Nina “La Pulga.”
I am currently searching for a forever home for her, because three cats are just a little too much for me at this time. Everyone bets that I will be keeping her, but being an apartment dweller limits me on the amount of critters I can have. I plan on keeping up with her vet needs and finding her a suitable home where she will be loved and spoiled. Would you like a kitty?

Marley giving me his "I am not pleased with this Slave Monkey" look. He knows that I am in the process of making the bed and he does not want to move.
I can't believe this cat was skinny when I got him.

The day was too nice not to let the boys, Marley and Joey, enjoy it. They had their first outing using the leash and harness I had bought them some months ago. Marley was a little nervous at first, but he got over his shyness quickly and was eager to sniff every patch of ground underneath his little paws. Joey was the funniest. He kept one talking the entire twenty minutes he was out and even managed to climb up two trees. Next time I take them out I will have to take pictures.
Good night.
